Takeru Amano is a Japanese painter and sculptor that incorporates classicism and modernity in his creations. The artist combines accuracy of the lines and the explosive color palette influenced by the pop culture.
Takeru was born in 1977, and moved to New York in 1997 where he studied engravings for three years before returning to settle in Tokyo. He had been in contact with the world of art since his childhood, his father being Yoshitaka Amano, an internationally renowned illustrator. After returning from New York, he started creating works mixing influences from the big apple and the Japanese pop culture, and gradually defined his own style.
